Training Day

Well I think it's about time Emily learned to get moving, so I've decided to teach her to crawl. She's up on all fours and I should have her mobile by Christmas!

Foreign Adventures

The family hopped in the car for Thanksgiving to celebrate in Whistler so mom and dad could get a jump on the ski season. Not much snow but we all had a wonderful time. I was determined to climb to the top of the mountain - didn't quite make it, but did kick a few snowballs into the river and swam in the pool with mom.

We all pitched in with the chores, except for Emmy who just laughed!

We're all ready to go again if any of you would like to join us!

New Tigger Pilot

We've got a brand new Tigger pilot in the house ready to help tire dad out!

We had a wonderful visit from Uncle Greg and Aunt Kathy last month. Both Katy and Emily had a great time. Thanks for coming to visit!
Uncle Greg, that was not a funny joke!

I'm Two!

I've had a wonderful birthday weekend. Three straight nights of blowing out the candles because dad wasn't sure he'd be here after Saturday with his reserve schedule. Luckily for all of us, he was here for the whole show!My favorites are my new kitchen with accessories and my Thomas the Train set!Had a little get together with friends last night. Here I'm with Quinn and Mika Seiffert at the big kids' table. We decided it would be more fun if everyone got to blow out their own candle. Elsa and her dad Jim on the right. (He seemed a little reluctant to give up my doll at the end of the night)Looks like a success based on the round of applause!
Mom and her girls.
I can't top that! Emily having another one of her "Aren't I cute" moments.

Working out a few dance steps.

Creatively speaking, I'm actually working out of the box.

Best Friends

Emmybear looks like she could be on the move any day now so I've taken her under my wing to teach her how things work around here. We're just taking in a little Thomas the Train and Barney before breakfast.
I sure do love the little tyke!
Anyone want to hear a little Clapton?

Trick or Treat!

We had a great time tonight kicking off the holiday season with a bit of trick or treating in the neighborhood. My giraffe costume was a big hit and Emily seemed very happy roaming the cul de sac in her froggy outfit. I had no problem picking up on the finer points of this adventure, remembering to say "trick or treat" then "happy halloween" after snagging the goods. Even remembered to say thank you with a few prompts! I have lots of energy tonight and wasn't tired at all at bedtime!
Had a nice dinner at my friend Elsa's house, our own quiet table away from the adult witty banter. Worked up our appetites jumping on her bed like a couple of monkeys. As you can see, I quite enjoyed it.

Every kid needs their happy apple!

Well the days are quickly growing shorter and cooler here in Issaquah, and all the neighbors have their itsy bitsy spiders hung on the front porch, so Halloween must be near. I got my first taste of candy corn recently and there is nothing like that sugar high for a two year old! Can't wait to trick or treat!
Dad says Emily looks almost as happy as Holly used to with her happy apple!
With a little more practice I'll be feeding Emily her bottle
First ride in the high chair! Emily started on rice cereal this week. I never could stand the stuff but she seems to enjoy it.

Changing of the Guard

Well, it looks like I may be getting a little big for my flying saucer, so it's time to pass it along to the youngster. Emily assumed command today, and boy doesn't she look pleased! She definitely enjoys being up and about. It won't be long before we'll be racing around the house!

Emmy looking awfully cute!

Flying Lessons

Well, dad has been very busy the last few weeks learning to fly his new airplane, the 737. Once finished with training in November, he'll be flying all over the country and is hoping for some opportunities to drop in on people back on the east coast this winter. Frankly, I don't know why training takes so long. Just hop in and turn the key...

... and off we go, into the wild blue yonder!

Emily, having a serious staredown with that penguin. She looks like she's ready to get moving any day now!

An introduction to "Goodnight Moon" , one of my favorites.

Already posing!

Helping Dad celebrate his birthday. I've become quite the expert on blowing out candles. In fact, we practiced four times on this cake!

Just in case there are any maintenance issues, I'm ready for the alternative. Now where did I leave my parachute?

Boys and Cars

Well there's nothing like the feel of the wind in your hair while riding in a convertible. This is my buddy Colten from across the street. Since he's almost three, I let him drive. Dad says he didn't think he'd have to worry about this till I was 16.
