Week 2

We are well into week 2 of what I like to call the "Emwy" era and have all been fortunate to have lots of help here. Nana Doyle and Gramma Polster have been here since the beginning and "Bampa" Doyle came in Friday as reinforcement. With the whole team in place we've been able to settle into a bit of a routine and keep mom and dad somewhat rested. I like to stay up til 10:00-10:30 at night though Gramma and Mom seem to wear out a bit earlier. Dad seems to be able to hang with me and Nana takes the late shift with Emily. Both Emily and I enjoy getting up for a snack between 3 - 4 am, so that usually gets mom and dad out of bed. Gramma usually joins us. After going back down for a bit I enjoy playing with Grampa after about 6 am. Luckily he's an early riser like myself. I think Mom and Dad are going to be very busy when the team goes home next week!

Introductions

Hi, I'm Katy Doyle and I am starting this blog to help you keep track of my new sister Emily and me. Mom and dad seem a little busy right now, so I thought this seemed like a good way to help out. There's a picture of mom and dad on the right before they were so "busy".

My new baby sister was born on 5/16 at 7:54 pm. She weighed in at 7 lbs 5 oz. Everyone is healthy and happy! Meet Emily Anne Doyle.

She seems very serious about her sleep.

Just home from the hospital.

My first meeting with Emily. I'm giving her a kiss. Dad's hair looks like it's getting a bit thin on top. I can't imagine why.
Just helping out. I'm suggesting we all sit on the floor.

I'm a little thirsty. Mom looks great.

Helping Emily to settle in at home.
Taking a moment to stop and smell the flowers.

Wow. Blogging is exhausting! Hope to be back soon with more pictures of Emily!
