Dance steps and Driving Lessons

Hi everybody! First I wanted to show everybody how I get my groove on. Dad makes it a little tough by listening to Mark Knoppfler - but I think I make it work. I've got a few more moves that I hope to debut in the near future.

We took a trip out to Remlinger farm where there is a small amusement park (think Edaville Railroad for those in RI). I rode the train, drove a car (thanks for teaching me Grandpa!) and tractor - and though not as authentic as Molly's, had my first whitewater rapids experience.

I also got to pet goats and sheep and met a clown for the first time (kind of underestimated the creepiness factor)

Mom and Dad are in trouble when I'm finally big enough to reach the garage door opener!

I don't think they should call it the "River of no Return" when it just goes around in a circle.

Grandma and Emily came too. Emily rode the train, but didn't seem too interested in the clown.

Dad says he longs for this day. I don't know what he meant by that.

Land ho!

Just a quick post as you can see I am very busy scanning the horizon for pirates. I have taken quite a liking to my new helmet, as I've noticed dad really likes to wear his when he bikes. We've had a good week here. Emily is sleeping like a champ, often going from 10 pm to 6 am. I still like to wake up between 1-3 am to join mom and dad and then see how close to the edge of the bed I can get dad to sleep. We're finally getting some summer weather and really enjoying getting outside more!

Enjoying some corn on the cob. Much more fun now that I have teeth!

Bottom - Katy at 6 weeks
Any family resemblence?

Road Trips and Songs

I was going to wax philosophically on the outcome of the Democratic primary race and how I felt it was going to influence our nation's politics over the course of the next decade, however I thought you might enjoy my rendition of the ABC's even more. The LMNOP's are my favorite.

Last weekend we took a practice road trip across the Cascades for lunch. Dad wanted to try it "just to see if it was possible." I'd consider it a rousing success with a hike through the woods and lunch at the Suncadia Inn. (Mom and Dad thought the naps in both directions were pretty cool .)

Katy practicing so she can help dad through his 737 training. She points out every airplane that flies overhead.

So far Emily sure seems to enjoy her sleep! We rarely see eyeballs between feedings, though she is holding her head up more and we think we've seen a couple of smiles!

Grandma likes her downtime too!
